Ancient giant trees
The towering beeches here are almost 160 years old, and a few giants are probably even 200. Some oaks are of a similar age, as are a small group of spruces and silver firs that join the giants.
The forest area is located in a quiet valley and is embedded in the picturesque landscape of the Volcanic Eifel.
