More information
We are changing the planet and, with it, our livelihoods at an unprecedented pace. Approximately every 10 minutes, a species disappears from this planet forever. Rivers now contain more microplastics than fish larvae, and long droughts are quickly followed by the next weather catastrophe: floods.
And then there is the forest, it offers a Habitat for tens of thousands of species and balances out where, for example, extreme climates become life-threatening. It cools on hot summer days, holds the fertile soil like a sponge even in the worst thunderstorms, and simply provides the precious moisture itself during droughts.
In the fight against the destruction of our livelihoods, it becomes our most important allies . At the same time, our native forests are also undergoing significant changes and are suffering from the various environmental crises.
